Get Your Free Starbucks Coffee Starting Today
That’s the count of volunteer hours pledged so far for the Starbucks Pledge 5 challenge. Starbucks is giving away a free tall Starbucks coffee to anyone who stops in to one of their stores and fills out a 5 hour volunteer pledge card. That’s 5 hours of volunteer time in the next year - and as a thank you, they’ll pour you a free Starbucks brewed coffee. It’s all part of helping the country answer President Obama’s call to service for Americans (and man, it feels so GOOD to type President Obama - I just literally teared up looking at that on the page. It feels so good I’m going to type it again - President Obama). Ahem. Back to the coffee…
Starbucks has teamed up with one of the top online organizing companies in the world to create a website where you can find volunteer opportunities in your community, print out a pledge card and download a badge for your blog or web site like the one above. Even if you only do it for the free Starbucks, drop by pledge5.starbucks.com to pledge your five hours and find out what you can do around your community to make a difference in the world.
