Coffee and 31 Days to a Better Blog

Published by chameleonsdream at 5:04 pm under 31 Days Edit This

31 days coffee break tagParticipating in the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog Challenge over at Problogger?A bunch of us Today.com bloggers got together on the forums and decided to hold each other accountable for following through with Darren’s 31 Day challenge. In the course of joking around, I got assigned to - what else - bring the coffee. That evolved into a promise to post a review of a different Keurig K-cup or kind of coffee each day for the 31 days - but as I was starting to put the post together, it occurred to me that a daily coffee break post would be a great place for people to link up any blog posts or assignments and show off their progress. Always good to get backlinks, right?

So, for the next 30 days (because I’m starting a day late), I’ll post a 31 Days Coffee Break and serve up the virtual coffee. At the end of each post, I’ll add in a Mr. Linky so you can add a link to your “homework”. How’s that for having some fun with accountability?

k-cup-dark-magic-extra-bold-sm.jpgFor Today’s first 31 Day Coffee Break, I’m serving my favorite Green Mountain Coffee Roasters coffee - Dark Magic. Dark Magic is a dark-roasted espresso blend - not too dark, since espresso flavors tend to be lost when the coffee is over-roasted. It’s a bold, strong cup of coffee that’s still smooth and very low in acid. It’s a great choice for someone who really likes coffee flavor, and likes to -feel- the coffee on their tongue. Ken Davids, the coffee guru from CoffeeReview.com gave it an 86 out of 100 points when he reviewed it - that’s pretty darn good. Of course, when it comes to me and my coffee, it’s all about taste, and Dark Magic really delivers the taste that I love - smoky, chocolate-y, just enough sweetness that I don’t have to add sugar to bring out the more complex flavors. You can buy it whole bean, ground or in K-cups from Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, or in a lot of supermarkets.

Have you done your homework for the last two days of the 31 Day Build a Better Blog Challenge? Use Mr. Linky to link up your list posts (from Day 2). If you put together an elevator pitch for your blog and posted it, link up to that too so we can all go read it and check up on your homework. Make sure you leave a comment too - I’ll start a running bloglist of Today.com bloggers participating in the challenge.

@vinny - Thanks for dropping by, Vinny! Mm. Keurig and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters certainly have enough different kinds of coffee - and if I run out, I can always turn to Dean’s Beans and other small specialty roasters.

I like how you’re tackling Assignment #3 (publicising the List Post) using the Mr Linky thingy :) Cheers!

This is a great idea! Most of my posts this week have been list posts :) but I linked to one that is the most “listy” of them. :D

I left my pitch the same. Christa’s Parrot Information- What I have learned while having parrots.
What I did update was my about page to give you a better idea of my history with parrots.
