Love the mug? You can get it for $12.95 from Coffee*Mate… but there’s more to the mug than meets the eye. Notice that little pink ribbon in the design? It’s there because this is the Susan G. Komen mug. You probably recognize the name - the Susan G. Komen For the Cure has probably done more to raise breast cancer awareness than just about anyone in the word.
When you buy a Susan G. Komen coffee mug from Coffee Mate, they will contribute $5 of the purchase price to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. They’re making a minimum $25,000 donation, but if more than 5,000 mugs are sold (that’s 5,000 x $5), they’ll add another $5 for every mug. Coffee Mate is also making a $100,000 donation to Susan G. Komen for the cure outside the mug donations.

It’s not really my style either - and I can’t afford to lay out $12.95 or $25 or sometimes even $5 every time I see a good cause I want to support. Part of the reason that I blog is because even when I can’t put my money behind a cause, I can sometimes do good by spreading the word to others who might have that $12.
